DAT32 (Database Access Tool)

DAT32 stands for Database Access Tool. DAT32 is a command line, script language interface to the Investment Workstation. Many commands, which can be executed in the Workstation applets, can also be executed using DAT32.

The DAT32 language closely mirrors the Investment Workstation's underlying Venues® Data Engine API (Application Programming Interface). DAT32 may be used to build or adjust an Application Topic.

In addition, those Investment Workstation users more familiar with programming languages or batch command line interfaces can create text files to run as DAT32 scripts in a multi-faceted series of research tasks.
